Frequently Asked Questions about PicFlips



1.  How much does it cost to have PicFlips at my event?
     For pricing, please inquire at info@picflips.com.au.


2.  What if there's not a licensee near me?
     If you are in an area where we currently do not have a licensee, please send an email to info@picflips.com.au for assistance.  You are also welcome to pass our information on to an events company in your area, and we will be happy to talk with them about adding the mobile flipbook studio to their event services.
 

3.  Does PicFlips travel to events outside of the listed areas?
     Yes, we do!  Travel expenses to locations outside of the listed areas will be billed accordingly. 
 
4.  What do you need in order to set up at an event?
     We prefer a 3m x 3m (10 x 10 ft) area, but can be slightly flexible depending on the layout of the venue.  We also need one standard electrical point outlet.  It is best if the venue can provide us with two 1.8m (6 foot) tables (skirted to match the rest of the party).  If your event is outdoors, please contact us to discuss protecting the display from weather elements.   
 
5.  Do you do outdoor events?
     Yes we do, however, we need protection from wind and rain.  Computers and printers have difficulty operating in temperatures over 30 degrees, so please keep that in mind.  Please let us know if you would like us to be outdoors when you ask for the quote so we can work out the details of the logistics.   
 
6.  Can I send you a video clip and have you send it back to me in a flipbook?
      We will have the capabilities shortly!  Stay tuned!
 
7.  We are interested in using PicFlips flipbooks as a card or invitation - can we do this?
     Yes, it's a very creative and unique idea!  Pre-made PicFlips flipbooks make great Invitations, Save-the-date and Thank You cards. Added bonus: custom covers are free for larger orders!
 
8.  Can I come to your location and make an individual flipbook?
      We are working on setting up a retail location right now where you will be able to make individual flipbooks.  So, stay tuned!  It will be perfect for Save-the-Dates, Christmas cards, invitations, stocking stuffers or a fun alternative to greeting cards!  Grab your friends or your family and walk away with a unique gift that is sure to be a hit! 
 
9.  How many people can I fit in a flipbook?
      Let's just say, as many people as you can fit into our display in under 7 seconds!
 
10.  If we're at an event and we have 4 people in a flipbook, can we all get a copy?
     Yes and no.  Let me explain how we operate to make it fair for all of your guests.  Since it takes us a minute-and-a-half to make each flipbook, if we make 4 flipbooks of the same group of people, the next person has to wait 6 minutes before we can even begin working on his or her flipbook.  The result is a long line of people waiting around for their flipbook and not enjoying your party!  So, here is our solution, which has worked out very nicely!  We make one flipbook for the group and tell them that if they would like a copy of that flipbook to bring it back to us when we aren't as busy.  We can pull up that saved file and make copies as time permits.  This is great for our client because we keep the line moving and are still making flipbooks even when we aren't crowded!  Of course, if no one else is in line at the moment, we'll make copies right away.
 
11.  How many flipbooks can you make in an hour at a party?
     We average 45-50  flipbooks per hour.  This number all depends on the cooperation of the guests and the number of retakes and copies they want us to do.

Frequently Asked Questions about Becoming a PicFlips Licensee

 
1.  What a great concept!  I'd like to  start my own company using the PicFlips software and patent pending process.  How do I become a licensee?
     We would be happy to help you!  Just email info@picflips.com.au with your request. 
 
2.  Will I operate under my own business name or the PicFlips name?
     In Australia and New Zealand, we are licensing the rights to use our software and the PicFlips process.  You will need to operate under your own business name and set your own prices.  We suggest that you refer to the process as PicFlips to tie into our brand.  Example: Amy's Events now offering PicFlips! 
 
3.  How much does it cost to get started as a PicFlips licensee?
     Please email info@picflips.com.au for a quote.  We can't wait  to help you get started!
 
4.  What does an "event kit" consist of?
     One computer, software, printer, and everything else needed to make flipbooks at one location.  If you would like to run more than one setup at an event, you would need to purchase another "event kit."
 
5.  Can I put the software on more than one computer?
     You can load the software on more than one computer.  However, only one dongle (software key) is provided per license.  The dongle must be plugged into the computer in order for the software to work.  if you would like more than one computer running the software at the same time, you need to purchase additional licenses.
 
6.  What happens if I lose my dongle (software key)?
      You will need to file a claim with your insurance provider, and then purchase a new software license from PicFlips.
 
 7. Do you offer exclusive territories?
     As a PicFlips licensee, you are free to travel anywhere in Australia or New Zealand you would like in order to perform flipbook services for your clients.
